Deactivating your account
Deactivating signs you out everywhere and hides your profile, posts and comments from everyone until you reactivate. Nothing is erased, and our support team can reactivate your account if you ask.
It's the gentle option when you need a break. If you want your data gone for good, delete your account instead. You deactivate on the website; the apps don't have this option.
- Go to Settings, then Account, and scroll down to the “Danger zone”.
- Choose “Deactivate account”.
- Confirm with your password, or with the code we email you if your account has no password.
- Choose “Deactivate”.
To come back, write to [email protected] from your account's email address and we'll reactivate it. Until then, nobody can see your profile, posts or comments.
