Approving follow requests

When your account is private, anyone who wants to follow you sends a request first. They see your posts only once you accept.

On the website

1. Go to Settings, then Privacy & safety, then “Follow requests”. They also show at the top of Notifications.
2. Choose “Accept” or “Decline” next to each person.

On iPhone and Android

1. Open the Activity tab and tap “Follow requests”.
2. Tap “Accept” or “Decline” next to each person.

Asking to follow a private account? You'll see “Requested” on their profile until they answer. You can cancel your request from there.
